Minnie Mouse 1st Birthday Party

Welcome to Harper's Clubhouse! Come inside, it's fun inside...

Bet you didn't expect to have that song stuck in your head today. Well, let's be real, it's stuck in my head everyday. My little girl LOVES her some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I knew we had to theme her first birthday party around her favorite pals.

We celebrated at our local Gymboree play center, which was clutch with taking care of basic setup and cleaning up after a group of babies. They also led the group in singing songs, chasing bubbles and getting under the giant rainbow tent.

Of course I wanted to add my own touches of fun! I recently gifted myself a Silhouette Cameo precision cutting machine, so this was my first chance to try it out. I ambitiously attempted to create my own toddler mouse ears, which turned out to be quite the saga and took away from other projects I wanted to tackle. So while I didn't get to create all the fun little details I wanted, I was able to add a bit of Minnie magic to my little girl's party.

The Birthday Girl had a blast! Seeing her devour watermelon and her first (dairy free!) cupcake made my mama heart swell with joy. We were so thankful for all our baby friends who joined us in the celebration. And one of the best parts? NO cleanup! ;)

Party Kits Retiring, New Cards on the Horizon

Whew it's been a busy first craft show season! I'm finally taking a breather the month of August to prepare for the holiday season. There's lots of happy haunts and jingle bells ringing around here right now.

In the next few weeks I will be debuting my first fall collection of cards, with inspiration from the Disney Parks, your favorite fall-themed movies and beyond. Be on the lookout for sneak peeks on my Instagram account.

In the meantime, I have an important announcement to make with regards to future Enchanted Type collections. It is with much thought and deliberation that I have decided to retire all party kit collections.

A year ago I introduced my first party kit, with plans of creating more collections in the future. In the meantime, my heart has fallen for designing greeting cards and interacting with all you lovely people at local craft shows.

Saying goodbye to the kits will make way for new seasonal items and allow me to make even more magical cards. The kits are still available for now, but will be glowing away in the next month.

I can't wait to share all the cozy, fall goodness I've been scaring up the last few weeks. Until then!

TTFN,
Elaina
