Holiday Traditions... we have lots of them! I remember in school we made books filled our family holiday traditions, it was one of my favorite projects! From baking cookies on Christmas Eve to getting hot cocoa before light looking in the local neighborhoods, we have many not-to-miss traditions!

To make sure we don't miss any important traditions, I created this handy checklist to help keep track. I hope it will help you plan your schedule for the month ahead as well! Don't feel overwhelmed about fitting them ALL in. Focus on the traditions that are most important to your family, and add your own at the bottom!

1st Day of Cheer: Free Printable Advent Numbers

The 12 Days of Cheer are here! I had the idea months ago to share one free printable a day during the first 12 days of December. Let the countdown begin! What better way to start the 12 Days of Cheer than with an Advent countdown? These Advent numbers can be used in many different ways. I love banners hanging all over my house for the holidays, so I used some twine and clothespins to hang the Advent numbers in my living room.

Chloe was very curious about what I was doing, then super confused when I put her in front of the camera. She wanted to know if her modeling fee was paid in treats!

Our family has many holiday traditions to fit into 25 days, so I like to use an Advent Countdown to have a different activity each day. This way it's not overwhelming trying to fit everything in. We plan out which activities would be better for weekends or weeknights, then flip over a different card for each day to see what activity we'll be completing!

This next idea comes from Simple As That. We have several holiday books that we love to read on Christmas Eve. I love the idea of reading one book a day leading up to Christmas to spread out the storytelling. These Advent numbers are perfect to label which day you will read each book. Don't have 24 books? You could shorten the timeline and use the last 6 or 12 numbers.
