I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. - Anne of Green Gables
Those words couldn't be more true. October is here, welcoming the beginning of the most festive time of the year. Filled with traditions, family gatherings and signs of the seasons shifting everywhere you turn. While there are many little reasons to celebrate throughout the year, the next three months give us extra reasons to throw up the banners and spread cheer.

As the evenings get cooler and you start spending more time indoors, it's the perfect time to hunker down and dive into that new hobby you've been meaning to try. Watercolor, sewing, bookbinding... let your imagination run wild and get inspired!
I just returned home from a rejuvenating trip to New England (the perfect place to welcome fall). Being surrounded by trees of every color, with the occasional gaggle of wild turkeys running across the street, brought a level of calm and peace that is easily lost in the day to day hustle. I spent a lot of time with my grandma, trying to absorb as much wisdom as I could about our family tradition of quilting. Now that I have a working sewing machine, fall feels like the perfect time to dive into a crash course in quilting.
