If you plan to eat while visiting Disney California Adventure, it's likely that you'll spend time at Pacific Wharf. This area, loosely themed after the Fisherman's Wharf neighborhood of San Francisco, is as charming as it is functional. Here you will find cuisine famous to the state of California, including Mexican, Asian, sourdough bread, clam chowder, and craft beer. Pacific Wharf also has some incredibly rich theming that blends the charm of San Francisco with the diversity of Disney California Adventure.
Pacific Wharf Cafe
Warning: Boudin sourdough bread bowls are seriously addicting! Perfect for lunch or dinner, you can get your choice of soup or salad (even macaroni and cheese for kids!) inside a bread bowl. This is also one of my favorite breakfast spots. I love the breakfast croissant sandwich, but you can also get bacon and eggs inside of (you guessed it) a bread bowl!
Can't get enough of Boudin's sourdough? Go around the corner to walk through the Bakery Tour, see the amazing Cast Members at work, and get a free sample of the sourdough bread!
Lucky Fortune Cookery
Craving amazing Chinese food? Lucky Fortune Cookery has got you covered. Your choice of protein and sauce comes on top of a bed of grilled veggies and rice, all served in the classic take-out box!
Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill
I can't believe I've never eaten here! It looks amazing everytime I walk by (and there's always a long line!). I've heard the fire-grilled citrus chicken is amazing. What I have definitely tried are Rita's Baja Blenders margaritas, which are delicious. Be careful how many of these you have before riding Toy Story Midway Mania!
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
Pacific Wharf is also home to one of the few Ghirardelli locations outside of San Francisco. Ghirardelli is famous for their chocolate squares, but inside this parlor you can fill up with a hot chocolate, hot fudge ice cream sundae, or handcrafted milkshake. Got a big group? Dare to finish The Earthquake sundae with eight scoops of ice cream!
There's plenty of ways to get stuffed at Pacific Wharf in Disney California Adventure. Which restaurant will you choose to explore first?
Welcome to World of Color Wednesday! For those of you unfamiliar, Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color was a broadcast television series that showcased the new technology of color television. Today, Disney California Adventure plays tribute to that part of Disney history with a spectacular nighttime entertainment show featuring jets of water, lights, lasers and of course music. My own way to pay tribute to the show is by creating a color board every week, inspired by a different land from Disney Parks or character from Disney films. Join me every Wednesday in celebrating the Wonderful World of Color!
